About Høgetveits Naturcamp

Our camping holidays are slightly different from “traditional” camping holidays. Many of our buildings (including the general store) date from the 1700’s and now function as overnight accommodation and general store.

The lovely, warm guest lounge (which was a cattle shed or Fjøset prior to conversion) is open to our guests all year round. The large converted hayloft or Høyløa can be booked and serves as a function room.

We’ve even got our own bridal suite, complete with 4-poster bed and rocking chairs. (The suite is above the general store).

Bør Børson’s shop is an old fashioned general store, which sells groceries and souvenirs. The store also serves as an information centre.

We have our own farm museum on the farm.

Høgetveits Naturcamp has small, simple, comfy cabins scattered around the grounds. They come in three different sizes – 15m2, 17m2 and 20m2 sleeping 4 or 5 and come with sofa, cooking area complete with an electric plate, coffeemaker, fridge and cutlery for up to six people. The cabins are electrically heated and some also have a wood burning stove.

We rent out our 4-wheeled “quad bikes” for use on trail runs (600m long). This run is floodlit and is used for skiing during the winter.

We also have a variety of play activities and apparatus for children. Slide (approx. 11m long), a trampoline, sandpit, pedal cars and other activities to keep the children happy and content.

We also provide vintage bicycle hire.
